Sterling silver + brass, both metals I mainly use in my work are prone to either tarnishing or oxidizing. This process occurs naturally + happens due to a chemical reaction with the copper in the metal + oxygen, moisture, + other environmental elements such as sulfur or acids in the air. This process can be prevented by storing in a cool, dark place away from moisture.

All of my brass, copper, + nickel silver pieces come with a coating of "Protecta-Clear" to prevent the metals from oxidizing + ensure a safe barrier from those sensitive to nickel.

*nickel silver is used for hair slides only.

Tips:

• Silver likes to be worn! Our skins' natural oils help prevent tarnish + the pieces you wear often will keep their luster longer.

• Storing jewelry in your bathroom isn't advised as the humidity will tarnish pieces quicker.
